Or perhaps it's just an attempt by the writer to distinguish between the
pronunciation {van} and {von}. That gives "A great warrior salutes JD."

It could also be a surprisingly correct {maqeq} at the beginning.

Why is the final sound rendered differently in "MAH" and "MUKH"? Again,
this might be a verb prefix, though not the right one in this case.

If we can somehow manage to get a message to the person responsible for
these, the first and most important point should be that {tlh} is not a
two-syllable sound. If it's too hard to get the correct sound, maybe
a "TS" transcription would be acceptable.

"LODGE" is probably {laj}. "POSH" might be {paS}, but I think {lojmIt}
and {poSmoH} work. {lojmItlIj poSmoH laj} -- "Accept your open door."

As I said, "LODGE" is likely {laj}. "PAY" could be {pe-}, but it would be
a strain to think there are imperative verb prefixes at work here. There
are several other possibilities: {pay} "regret", {pay'} "suddenly", {pe'}
"cut". {pa'} seems at odds with the other transcriptions, and of course
{pey} "acid" is not likely.
