majQa'. Now learn the all the words and affixes, and the order to put them
in. :)
Simply work through the grammar section of TKD, on part at a time and
practise each new structure as you learn it.
I recommend you learn vocabulary every day, one word, five, ten: whatever is
comfortable for you, so you'll have something to use the grammar with.
The basic sentence structure is object - verb - subject (see section 6.1)
and read section 4.1.1 carefully to see how the prefixes are used. You
might prefer to look at the sample phrases in the appendix and work
backwards from there to look up all the rules that dictate why those
syllables are in that order.
Try to put together some simple sentences and post them to the list. My job
is "Beginners' Grammarian," which means I give advice, instruction and
correction to newcomers like yourself. Put the letters "KLBC" in the
subject line of your message and then the BG (might not be me: I'm getting
near the end of my tenure, I think) will tell you if you're missing
anything, and we'll all heap praise on you as you progress. Questions about
the language are always welcome here. Check the FAQ at
http://labs.thomtech.com/~dspeers/klingon/faq.htm
to see if your question is answered there.
