I apologize for the overliteral translation of the idiom "burning out".
{Qop} is much more appropriate for expressing what I meant. But we've
got a couple of examples of phrasing like my first sentence:
Power Klingon - targhlIj yIngagh yIruch.
The Klingon Way - QaghmeylIj tIchID yIyoH.

If I were sitting in a wood-paneled room with a bunch of academics, I
might be inclined to agree with you. But this is a matter of style,
not just of meaning.

Thank you for your concern, but I see nothing about my example that
makes it "less ideal" than the one on page 212 of TKW.
