For those interested, now, I'm using JFile, a PalmPilot database
application. I'm replacing my collection of about 40 memos with
my master word list, just using a string search. It has served
me for a long time, but except for portability, it has always
had limits that bothered me.
With JFile, I'm setting up the following fields:
Klingon Word: [string]
Definition: [string]
Part of Speech: [Pull-down list]
Grammar Note: [Pull-down list including "body part,
intrans, trans, trans & intrans, uses language"]
Source: [Pull-down list]
Pun: [boolean]
Canon: [string]
Reviewed: [date]
Comment: [string]
Needs attention: [boolean]
New Words List: [boolean]
Any suggestions for additional information to track is welcome.
I plan on using memos to store discussions of specific words by
Okrand and any other reference that might grow to more than the
500 character [string] limit. I'll leave Comments pointing me to
those memos. We'll see if I can pull this off before qep'a'
vaghDIch. Likely not. I'll be spending my spare moments plugging
away, like someone knitting a sweater, stitch by stitch...

chaq bIQaghlaH je. Two conflicting aspect markers on the same
verb?

It depends upon the effect you are seeking. If you are seeking
the effect of being someone who speaks Klingon well, then the
answer is, "No."
