OK I was a little ambitious; both meter and rhyme with some recasting. The
subject matter maybe galling but try to see the humor in it.
*Barney* bom vImuch 'e' HIchaw'
qamuSbe' "I love you."
chomuSbe' "You love me."
ReH tay' tlhIH tuq'a'maj je "We're a happy family."
Recast as "You will always be part of our great
house." The reason for the type 1 suffix (augmentative)
was to help the meter.
SoH nIDechqu' DeSDu'wIj 'ej mapaw' maH "With a great big hug and kiss from
me to you."
Recast as "My arms surround you and we head butt each
other." Reasons; sounds more Klingon, no words for
hug and kiss and the rhyme.
chomuSbe' 'e' jIjatlhtaH "Won't you say you love me too?"
Recast as "Say you love me over and over!" Reason;
just my own belief that Barney has a sinister agenda.
Well, that's it. I know at least one of the rhymes is forced and the meter
maybe off. It works when I sing it, though.
