Recently I have read numerous times {qep wa'DIch} for "First Contact."
We have been using {qep} for "meeting", just as glossed in TKD. But, we have
been using it for "conferences". Can we extend the meaning of {qep} now to
mean "encounters"? This does not feel right, to me.
At the risk of using {-ghach}, I recommend {qIHlaHghach}. And, for further
encounters, perhaps we could make something from {ghom}, of which one of the
glossed meanings is "encounter".
