|Marc Okrand has often emphasized the verb to indicate that something is "too
|much." To emphasize a verb, add {qu'} to it.

Regarding "too hot," consider TKD p. 170:
tujqu'choH QuQ
The engine is overheating. (i.e. "becoming too hot")
Also, -qu' is always stressed (tooj-KOO-chokh kkhookkh)--which adds a bit
more "oomph" to whatever verb you're emphasizing.
