I wrote the tobaj leg recipe, and I had an actual "human" workaround in mind
when I wrote. If called upon to simulate soft-shell stuffed tobaj leg, I
would get some
canneloni (large tubular noodles) and boil till barely al dente. Then I'd
get crabmeat salad (mayonaise-based) and add some mole seasonings to it
(basically just cocoa powder and chili powder). Stuff the noodles, chill
till firm and serve. I've never tried it, so I don't know how disgusting it
would be, but who knows? It might do until I can acquire some real tobaj.
