Personally, I think the subject of {puv} is the thing flying. If you are
piloting the ship, you use {puvmoH}.
{lu-} would have been the wrong prefix, anyway. {wa'} is singular. By just
saying {wa'}, you're automatically implying "one of a group of" (see the last
few issues of HolQeD for discussion of this).

One would hope that your audience could figure out that you don't mean you're
a ship which someone causes to fly. If it's ambiguous somehow, you could
always use {-'e'} to disambiguate.
