"For a long time" can usually be done by saying {qaStaHvIS poH nI'} "while a 
long period of time occured."

{pa'Daq jIghItlhbe'} "I did not write in the room."  Remember that when you 
use {pa'} as "area over there," it doesn't take {-Daq} as a suffix.  However, 
I'm not even sure what you mean by "For a long time I did not write over 
there."
