I'm afraid so. The Talker system requires a Pentium, not even a fast 486
will do.
Like I said in another post, in Klingon, we'd like nothing better than to
be able to accommodate everyone who wanted to join in. Unfortunately, we
can't: we're limited by the software in use. You can try complaining to
the OnLive people to work faster on supporting it on more platforms
(Lawrence will thank you; he is hauling all the way to my house tomorrow
because he doesn't have a Pentium either, and they don't support Macs).
This is one of those half-a-loaf situations. We'd like to make everyone
happy, but since the people who can't join in aren't *losing* anything,
isn't it worthwhile doing something for those for whom we can? (and
lest you complain that we should have bought another chat-system, be aware
that we can't afford any, not even this one, and beggers can't be
choosers).
