He's right. The dotted "i" is a common letter in non-Klingon words,
and it often tricks me into trying to interpret the word in English
first. I have to go back to looking at it letter by letter instead
of recognizing whole syllables.

The Klingon word {SoQ} means "address" -- but it's the kind of address
that is also a "speech" or "lecture". It's not the kind of address that
describes a location at which someone may be reached. I sometimes use
the word {Quv} "coordinates" for that idea. I'd call an email address
{jabbI'ID Quv} "data-transmission coordinates".

However, a good Klingon does occasionally honor a superior by using the
suffix {-neS} (see TKD section 4.2.8).
Note that {ghItlh} refers specifically to the act of making marks upon
something. You've said "Write on me." :-)
