End o' Year announcements

It appear that issue #24 of HolQeD (that's volume six, number four) is
going to run about a week late this year. That's not definite, but it's
looking very probable. HIvqa' veqlargh.
On the other hand, to try and make up for this horror (it's the first time
an issue of HolQeD has ever been delayed!), all current members will
receive a copy of the third issue of jatmey along with issue #24 when it
ships. Additional copies will still be available for $5 (plus shipping
where applicable), and will soon be appearing on the merchant page of the
KLI website.
Please note that I said CURRENT members. If your membership in the KLI is
not active at the time of the big mailing, then you won't get jatmey. Even
if you subsequently renew, jatmey #3 will not be sent free. So if you've
been putting off sending in your renewal payment, you're almost out of
time. Visit the website to renew by credit card, or send a check in the
mail (and hope that it gets here before the mailing goes out!).
The other announcement I'd like to make is to encourage you to make a
contribution to the KLI before the year is out. The KLI is a nonprofit
corporation as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the United States IRS code,
and so contributions from people in the US are tax deductible.
Please help us to continue to provide the many services of the KLI, from
the our serials like HolQeD and jatmey, to specialty publications like
HAMLET and THE GRAMMARIANS DESK, from underwriting the annual qep'a', to
maintaining our website and this mailing list. Any amount you can send is
welcome and will help us in our continuing mission of spreading and
promoting Klingon throughout the world. Or, if the end of the year is
leaving you a little crunched for cash, encourage a friend or colleague to
join the KLI.
