Actually, the digits 8, 9, and 0 do not match the KLI pIqaD. It looks like
there's something wrong with those characters, because they only produce
*very* thin lines. However, the unshifted characters (all of them) do match
the unshifted KLI characters.
As far as I can tell, the font from Holodeck 3 is not an illegal copying of
the KLI font, but rather an independent reproduction. A very similar
reproduction, but not the same. A font *style* is not copyrightable, is it?
By the way, when looked at with only a glance, they look identical. But when
examined closely, one can see that the KLI pIqaD is a much smoother and sharp
font. KLINGON_TNG.TTF is also ever-so-slightly larger than the KLI pIqaD.
