Judging by what we've seen on the screen, it's written across.
It's also apparently written from the center-outward. Of course,
that could just be a special effect like those on LED signs.
Now, the pseudo-pIqaD sometimes used by the KLI, for which computer
fonts are available, is written in the same direction as most Roman
alphabet languages (including English): left-to-right and
top-to-bottom. The usual style is one sentence per line, each line
centered on the page (since we don't have any pIqaD punctuation marks).
