Re: tlhIngan Hol jIjatlhlaH (sort of)

There's an adverbial {loQ} which means "slightly, a little bit". Adverbials
go at the beginning of the sentence, before the object of the verb. Speaking
of objects, this sentence does have one, so the verb prefix has to be {vI-}
instead of {jI-}.

Welcome here, Paul. I assume you've seen my introduction already; the
short version is that I'm here to help people learn tlhIngan Hol. That's
the Klingon *language*, not the society, by the way. I am fulfilling the
role of Beginners' *Grammarian*; I'm not a tour guide! :-)

If you stick with it, you'll find you are correct.

That's easy! You need a copy of _The Klingon Dictionary_, available from
many bookstores, a bunch of mail-order catalogs, and the Klingon Language
Institute's "merchant" page on the World Wide Web. If you have not yet
done so, go browse around at http://www.kli.org/ for lots of information.
Among other things, the KLI sponsors a (free!) postal course that teaches
basic Klingon grammar and vocabulary.

There's nothing on the 'net I can recommend for a beginner. The lists of
vocabulary and the "good" translator programs still aren't good enough to
learn the grammar from, and it's the *grammar* that makes Klingon its own
language instead of a code for some other language.

This is beyond the scope of my duties as BG; I'll let someone else offer
to assist you in these matters.
