How do you expect the neighbor to use the cup of sugar he borrowed?
He *probably* wants to use it in order to bake something, but he might
be planning to contaminate a car's fuel tank, or to mix it with some
saltpeter in a pipe bomb, or something else entirely. There are many
possible uses for a cup of sugar. There are also many ways to use a
sword. If you just say you're using it, you leave the manner of use
open to interpretation. If you want to be accurate, you really should
describe the purpose for which you are using the sword.
