Probably not the physical act of marking your name on a paper, but perhaps
the act of doing so *in the sense of* agreeing to a treaty/contract/etc.
Intuitively and subjectively, I like the use of "qI'" as a transitive verb
for signing any contract/treaty-like instrument. For ratifying/agreeing to
any legal document.
