I would think that splurging is *not* a continuous activity; part of the
connotation it has to me is the *sudden* spending of a whole lot of dough.
Possibly "jIDIlqu'[mo']...." to emphasize that you're paying for something,
and the payment is what's important, not the buying. A thought.
