I think so; I'm not sure what you were trying for. Remember simply that
"'e'" is a pronoun, it's always the OBJECT of a sentence, and it refers to
the *preceding* sentence as a whole. Now go over what you wrote and see if
that fits; I don't really follow your first sentence (it looks like it has
two main verbs).
