And even if politeness were a Klingon concept, {-jaj} would not be the
way to express it. "May" as in "May I go to the bathroom?" and "May"
as in "May you live long and prosper!" are two completely different
concepts that just happen to be expressed by the same word in English.
I would not use {-jaj} for the former meaning any more than I would use
it to mean the fifth month of the year.
