Re: origin of the word {tlhIn...

:
: There is much {perhaps non-canon] evidence that Klinzai (Qo'noS) was quite
: lush with much water before a passing asteroid altered the planets orbit and
: tilt slightly but enough that only 13 large bodies of water remained on the
: planet's surface. From that time on Klingons strived to live close to water
: sources and thus became far more aggressive.
:
: My point is: Klingons were not always a warrior society. They became one.
: Neither were the Japanese always a warrior society and are not now, but some
: of the social mores have rubbed off into their assertive business practices.

qaghItlhneS:

I love when people make statements like this.. "not, never, always" are
pretty final... When it comes to the world of Trek, one should NEVER use
them ;-)

So, on that point, I'd like to point out, that in the TNG episode "Genesis"
we see that the Klingon race came from a pretty "aggressive" past. We can go
on the assumption that they started out in this aggressive state, evolved
into a less-aggressive then re-evolved into the warrior race as you have
indicated...

But, that's hard to swallow... with the CANON information that we have, it
seems more plausible that tlhInganpu' have ALWAYS been aggressive...
