Most of the activity on board a cruise ship does tend to involve food, you
know. It's particularly pleasant to have the word {ghem}, though perhaps
{ghem'a'} would be more appropriate for the "midnight buffet" usually
presented.
Dinner {'uQ} is a complex ritual {tay} which provides a fine basis for a
vocabulary lesson. The menu {HIDjolev} provides a choice of courses
{nay'mey} of appetizer {SopqangmoHwI'}, soup {taS? 'IwHey?}, salad {tI'?},
main course {nay potlh}, and dessert {chab?}. One orders {ra'} the waiter
{jabwI'} to bring {qem} food {Soj} and one eats {Sop} and drinks {tlhutlh}.
The busboy {jabwI'Hom? toy'wI'?} removes {teq} the empty plates. The wine
steward {chom'a'?} offers alcoholic drinks {HIq}.
Another common "recreation" is dancing. Unfortunately, I can't find a good
word for "dance" anywhere, and I can't even figure out how to describe
dancing succinctly using Klingon grammar.
