I read through the mail and see what people are coming up with and I learn a
lot. I will surely post some things for your all to correct, too.
Meanwhile, here is a thought on {wamwI' yIn pem}.
{pem} means "daytime." I take this to be similar to Chinese's <bai-tian>.
This refers only to the daylight hours. In Chinese, I would say <yi-tian>
to mean "a day in the [life of, etc.]"
Klingon has the word {jaj} which refers to the dawn-to-dawn day as defined by
the spin of Qo'noS on its axis. I believe {jaj} covers the time period of a
day while {pem} refers only to the daylight hours.
Still, I am not argueing with your selection of terms because of the
interesting possiblitly that you may want to describe only that period of
time in the hunter's life covered by {pem}.
I do want to get comments from the members of this listserv regarding
referencign Klingon time periods.
