I'm gonna get you, Michael Dorn! ;)
Michael Dorn's in the country for a Trek con (in Sydney, and I can't go. In
fact, I'm off to a wedding during the Melbourne con a couple of weeks from
now, so I'll miss Majel Barrett).
Dorn's getting interviewed on the late night news (just before _The First
Duty_ is screened).
A salient excerpt from the interview.
Voiceover: And soon to be beamed down,
a trekkie version of the Bible,
written... in Klingon.
Dorn: There's something a little sacreligious about (chuckle) that, you know...
it's... it may be fun... for some people, but... hey we were joking that...
you know, cancer can wait... what we need is a Klingon Bible.
My immediate reaction was not "and the horse you rode in on, Mr Dorn" ---
which, in hindsight, is a disappointment to me. My immediate reaction was
"I'm famous!" My second reaction, as far as that cancer comment was concerned,
was to misquote McCoy: "I'm a Klingonist, not a doctor!"
Nick.
