SUMMARY:Spring Temporal Anomaly
DESCRIPTION:peqIm! tlhaq mISHom yIghuH!\nHey\, y'all! Watch out for the temporal anomaly!\nNorth American Daylight Saving Time begins March 8. European Summer Time begins 29 March. For the three weeks between those dates\, events with US-based hosts will be an hour earlier than usual by European clocks\, and events with Europe-based hosts will be an hour later by US clocks. This discrepancy can cause confusion if not accounted for. The KLI Events Calendar accounts for time zone changes\, and should show things correctly if your web browser is properly configured. If your own calendar is subscribed to the feed\, everything will be shown according to your app's preferences.

SUMMARY:SeQpIr Ho'wI' yej'an
DESCRIPTION:The Shakespeare Appreciation Society meets weekly to read and discuss Shakespeare's works (currently\, Much Ado About Nothing) in the original Klingon. During the meetings\, we take turns translating a few lines at a time\, and then we take turns reading a selected passage aloud for pronunciation practice. Shakespeare is infamously among the more difficult Klingon texts to read\, so this group is geared towards Klingon language learners who are looking for a challenge. All are very welcome though\, regardless of experience. \nThe Society meets for one hour on Fridays at 11:30 AM PST (18:30 UTC) on the Klingon Language Institute's Discord server in the SeQpIr Ho'wI' yej'an voice channel. If you aren't already a member of the KLI Discord server\, you can always find an up-to-date invitation at https://www.kli.org/discord/
