The Klingon word Soj food has an idiomatic meaning of matter, affair, concern. Maltz used it that way when he said tlhIngan Soj 'oH – not bIyaj It's a Klingon thing. You wouldn't understand.

Soj tlhol is literally unprocessed food. By using that as the name of this chat session, I hope to get across the idea of an unfiltered discussion where any topic is welcome. The only guidelines are 1) speak in Klingon and 2) don't be rude to other participants. I intend for this to be a chance for fluent and mostly-fluent speakers to enjoy a chance to talk to one another without worrying about it being a teaching environment. If your skill with the language is not up to the task, don't be afraid to stop in and listen, but please don't insist that others accommodate you by slowing down or explaining what they're saying.
