Klingon for the Stay-at-Home Warrior: Hamlet
22 February, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation
The Klingon for the Stay-at-Home Warrior group is currently reading Hamlet by SeQpIr, restored to the original Klingon by members* of the Klingon Language Institute. This is infamously one of the more difficult Klingon texts to read, so this group is geared towards Klingon language learners who are looking for a challenge. All are very welcome though, regardless of experience.
The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 18:00 UTC (1:00 pm EST), and every Saturday at 18:30 UTC (1:30 pm EST). During the meetings, we take turns translating a few lines at a time, and then we take turns reading the entire passage aloud. We meet on Zoom, at the link below.
Please note: you don't by any means need to participate in the entire meeting to attend. If you'd rather just listen, or just participate in the pronunciation practice, you're more than welcome to join in whatever capacity makes you most comfortable.
