A {Saqghom} is a 'landing party', and a {tIjwI'ghom} is a 'boarding party', so it looks like {ghom} covers this.
Those are ad hoc groupings. It may be that {ghom} also serves for larger and more permanent organizational formations and/or divisions, but it would be nice to get confirmation of that.
What about something like {lochbogh ghom} "group making up a part of (something)". That also might work for something like a 'department' in a corporation or a university:
{mangghom lochbogh jonwI'pu' ghom'e' muvta'} "She joined the Army Corps of Engineers"
{DuSaQ'a' lochbogh nughQeD ghom'e' che'} "He heads the sociology department at the university."
beq sounds good to me.
