Description/Reason:
This could be the name of both the dish and the creature it is prepared from. It is a speciality of the veng wa'DIch region and enjoyed by (Klingon) visitors to the capital city year-round, but it is consumed in other regions also during festival times. The sole ingredient is an aggressive vermiform organism resembling a combination of several Terran phyla, with a mature length between 0.5 and 1 'uj. The preparation is straightforward: the vendor removes one creature from a storage container, and impales it artfully several times on a sharpened stick. The creature is then eaten from the stick while still living, with the head (which can deliver a nasty bite) always saved for last.

Perhaps a metaphor could be derived from this dish also… maybe something like ‹‹chop X nach››, meaning that danger or risk is expected but not unwelcome.
(I'm making this request because as I understand it we've received just two new words for Klingon cuisine – jInjoq and pIvyoch – since KGT came out in 1997.)
I like the idea, and I voted for it, but be advised that the longer and more complicated a suggestion is, the more likely that fewer of the original details will be included in the final vetted result, especially if the suggestion is your own fictional creation.
There are ideas which have been on the chabal tetlh for years with very positive scores, but have not been approved. Usually these ideas involve expansions of known Klingon culture.
I am grateful for the support and seriously appreciate also your word of caution. I was in all honesty wary of exerting any influence on the culture in this way, but felt compelled to act by the stasis in this region of the vocabulary – an area that provides us with so much flavor, if you will. I do not care about the degree to which any possible revelation from Maltz might "coincidentally" reflect some of this conceptualizing… I just hoped the detail would capture the community's fancy and fire our collective imagination.
