Re: [Tlhingan-hol] using adverbials or {-qu'} with comparison?

lojmitti7wi7nuv ([email protected])

There have been several good suggestions here. I’ll add what I come up with:

tlhoy nI’mo’ Qu’vam, maQaplaHbe’.

And if you don’t object to the Englishy “require” and “have”, then:

poH poQbogh Qu’vam nI’ law’ poH ghajbogh Qu’vam nI’ puS.

Qapla’vaD, tlhoy paS Qu’vam.

or

tlhoy paS Qu’vam taghmeH wanI’.

Qu’vam Dachup ‘ach bIpaSqu’. nIteb Data’ DaneH’a’? qabejqang. Dubot pagh. [Gesture the way to the door while stepping aside to clear the way.]

Or more directly:

poHwIj ‘Iq natlh qechmeylIj QIp.
