One suspects that since a stitch in time saves nine, that {Hut} suggests there’s a pun here, though “nine bells” or “nine drums” doesn’t make the specific pun obvious to me yet.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Is there some translation for crochet that would fill in the missing piece? You use sticks for crochet, not weaving.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">It would be hard to talk about weaving without a word for a loom, or for that matter, the various types of loom. I’ve used jack looms, counter-march looms and a couple others that I’ve forgotten the names of…</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I made a “V” shaped shawl once with the two legs of the shawl woven through each other — warp for one is the weft for the other, with alternating stripes of basket-weave and twill. Creme and lavender. It took an 8-harness jack loom to make it. No minor process.</div><br class=""><div class="">
