   qeylIS Qaw' 'e' nIDmeH
   yerDaj weH molor
'ej juH qachDaj meQmoH (PB: paq'raD, Canto 7:5)

[I.e. "In order to destroy Kahless, Molor raided his lands and burnt his home."]
(I don't have the English text here; can anyone supply it?)

KGT 48: Common militaristic acts also have associated terminology, both verbs ({DoHmoH}, drive back; {Hub}, defend; {yot}, invade; {weH}, raid [same as {yot}, really, but with the added connotation of surprise or speed]; {HIv}, attack, assault; {Sev}, contain; {HeD}, retreat, withdraw) and nouns ({yot}, invasion, raid, incursion; {Hub}, defense).

Arcanis IV was the site of a 23rd century Klingon raid that killed all Federation researchers there. (TOS "Day of the Dove")

Similar words:

I've seen *{weHwI'} used for "raider, pirate, etc." E.g. *{verengan weHwI'pu'} Ferengi marauders.

And for "ambush" we have {von} "trap" (!).
