Re: [Tlhingan-hol] proposal for new Trek, with Klingons

Felix Malmenbeck ([email protected])

I sent them a message using the contact form on their website ( http://1947entertainment.com/ ), basically laying out my own experiences, saying there are a lot of us who'd be interested in helping, and that we can help get them in touch with Marc Okrand (who I mentioned has also done Vulcan and Romulan for the movies, on top of creating the Klingon language).
Dunno if it may be possible to reach this David Foster himself directly; that'd probably be preferable.

Don't get too excited, the show hasn't been pitched yet:
http://trekweb.com/articles/2011/08/22/Interview-Producer-Reveals-Proposed-New-Star-Trek-TV-Series-Concept-Details-New-Series-Idea-Has-Not-Yet-Been-Pitched-Officially-to-CBS.shtml

<<Trevino: What kind of show will it be?

Foster: The series is highly energized with a much younger cast, and
uses cutting-edge future technologies with newly envisioned special
effects and designs. It includes Klingons, Ferengi, Andorians,
Vulcans, Trill, and many more. The Klingons are getting very restless
since the Praxis incident forced them to come to the peace tables, and
are tired of having to rely on the Federation for support. The Ferengi
have discovered a vast new resource that has propelled them towards
instant riches and power beyond anything they have previously
experienced.>>

Now is the time for the KLI to get involved, before they start writing
nonsense "Klingon" dialogue.
