AFAIK that line from CK is the only canon example for {lIgh} "ride". So the question is actually: Can you also use {lIgh} for animals?

I've always used *{lupDuj} for larger passenger shuttles, transport ships, runabouts, troopships, as well as airplanes, etc. But what Klingons call them is unknown.

From DS9 we know there were regular shuttles from DS9 to Bajor and a "Klingon transport" was alleged to have been destroyed by the Defiant in DS9 "Rules of Engagement".
