Used in canon:

tlhIngan yoH pIv verengan yoH rop
The Klingon is braver than the Ferengi (slang) KGT

   yIpIv
   Be healthy!
[Okrand sent Glen Proechel a "get well" letter when he was hospitalized
    for heart and kidney failure.]

Cultural notes:

TKD 10: Unlike most speakers of English, who begin conversations with
greetings, inquiries about the state of health of the conversants, and
remarks about the weather, Klingons tend to begin conversations by simply
stating the main points.

>Antonyms: rop

"be sick/ill". Cf. also {pIvHa'} "be unhealthy":

   bIpIvHa'law'
You look terrible. (You seem unhealthy). TKD

Related verbs include {ngej} "infect" and {vor} "cure".

Don't confuse {pIv} "be healthy" with the unrelated morpheme *{pIv} in
{pIvchem} "warp field", {pIvghor} "warp drive" and {pIvlob} "warp factor".
