1. In TKD I found the sentence:
"chenHa'moHlaH" - it is translated as "it is able to destroy it"
and then there is the sentence in all its parts.
I have to admit, that I never would come to this result.
When I would like to say, "it is able to destroy it" I would say:
"Qaw'moHlaH"
Am I on the wrong way?
2. I have a problem to understand, why
DuS wa' - means torpedo tube number 1
wa' DuS - means one torpedo tube?
Normaly I start to translate a sentence at its end to find the subject. So if I do this in this case I would expect the wa' stands for one. It is totaly contrary to my feelings. Normal?
3. qama' vIqIppu' neH - I only hit the prisoner
I only hit the prisoner, I didnīt kill him. What do I have to say, when I mean: I only hit the prisoner, not the officer, not the child?
qama' neH vIqIppu' ?
Thanks for help
