Certainly. Prompted by a question from one Will Martin, apparently in an
informal followup to a peripheral issue mentioned during a formal interview
he had conducted with Marc Okrand,
> So, if an 'uj'a' is nine 'ujmey, is an 'ujHom a ninth of an 'uj?
there came this response:
-> Path: picard.paramount.com!news
-> From: "Marc Okrand" <[email protected]>
-> Newsgroups: startrek.klingon
-> Subject: Re: Measurement question
-> Date: Wed, 3 Feb 1999 00:32:28 -0500
->
-> [essentially, no]
->
-> Maltz did say, however, that he'd heard the term <'ujHom>
-> used in a story about a merchant lacking honor, something
-> about the merchant not filling the order properly.
Approximately eight hours later, the newgroup posting was copied to the
tlhIngan-Hol mailing list...by the same Will Martin. :-) Armpits indeed.
