Right. Okrand always calls those "be X" type verbs qualities. {vaQ} is
like that intangible American trait of "coolness", but applied to weapons;
it's hard to describe, but you know it when you see it. E.g.:
betleH vaQ
an exceptional bat'leth
vaQ betleHvam.
This bat'leth is exceptional.
vaQ'a' betleHvam?
Is this bat'leth outstanding?
betlheH vaQ 'oH betleHvam'e'?
Is this an outstanding bat'leth?
toH, betleHlIj chu' 'oH'a'? vaQqu'!
So, [is] that your new bat'leth? Cool! (Very nice indeed!)
