ideas for lightening not sure if you could apply to flash:

'eng wov
could have meaning of a 'light/bright cloud'
or even
'eng wovmoHwI'
to combine the concept of a 'light' and a cloud

maybe the above could apply to sheet lightening and

pay' 'eng wov (Sudden bright cloud)
could be streak lightening.
or following the concept of a strike by a hammer

'eng mup

Thunder could possibly be represented by
'eng mupwI'

KEY:
'eng (cloud) wov (be light) wovmoHwI' (light, that you switch on), mup
(strike, impact) .
