I would agree with voDleH wej.  In KGT we get an explanation for the naming 
system for planets.  nImbuS wej is the third planet from the star Nimbus.  
This system is set up to work for all solar systems.  Naturally, some planets 
have names, e.g., tera'.  In the case of tlhIng, whose sun is Qo'noS, the 
name of the sun applies to the entire solar system, and has become the common 
way to identify the planet.
