Probably because we were still plugging the MUSH; but your point is
well-taken.

I hadn't noticed this about DALnet, but my experience with it is admittedly
pretty limited.

Sorry for the big quotes; I wanted to make sure to leave in most of what
folks said.

Well, I must say I have to accept the points made here.  I just thought it
might be nice to bring this into the larger world.  I still think so, but
not at the cost of excluding people who don't want to deal with the traffic
of scoffers.  I'd suggest setting up one on DALnet in *addition* to the
smaller one, but that's doomed to failure.  People would pick one or
another to be on, and the community is small enough as it is.  Splitting it
would kill at least one (and possibly both) chat room.  I dunno, maybe I
can monitor something on DALnet to filter out some interested folks and
point the right ones over?  Advertising on our website may be better.

Well, anyway, it was a thought.  I accept the objections raised and am
quite content to leave things alone (for now, anyway).
