The whole reason I am the keeper of the New Words List is
because while several of us were keeping our own word list, I
was the first one to take great care to note the source of each
one. If you look at the New Words List, you'll see annotations
as to the source for each one of them.
These two words were explained on 7/19/1999 on the NEWS list he
occasionally participates in (once or twice a year, on average,
he makes an appearance). Anything he posts there generally gets
repeated here.
