It's <Ha'DIbaH> and <verengan>.

Literally <Ha'DIbaH> means "meat" or "animal", but it also has a slang
meaning "dog, cur, inferior person", and this definition obviously
refers to the slang meaning of "dog" or "cur" in English: calling a
person a "cur" in English is the same thing as calling a person a
<Ha'DIbaH> in Klingon. Neither is very nice.

In any case, there is no association between real Earth dogs and the
Klingon word <Ha'DIbaH>, except that dogs are animals.
