Instead, I thought about how the old numbering system was based
on three, so you'd count:
wa'
cha'
wa'maH
wa'maH wa'
wa'maH cha'
cha'maH
etc.
When they changed to base 10, they had to warn people not to
expect 10 so soon, so you count:
One
Two
Not yet.
Wait...
Or, if you are about to fire a torpedo and you count down:
Wait.
Not yet.
Two.
One.
