Or Klingon music theory might differ from English music theory. Perhaps
in Klingon, "nonatonic" means there are eight distinct note names and the
ninth one is a repeat of the first. After all, {-Qo'} is labeled a rover
by Klingon grammarians, even though it doesn't really fit the definition
of a roving suffix as English grammarians would understand it. Obviously
there is a mismatch between the definitions of "rover" here.

Calling the Klingon musical scale "nonatonic" is only an error if you
insist on applying non-Klingon definitions to a Klingon concept.
