The last two days of the week on *my* calendar are Friday and Saturday.
As I see it, the particle "end" in "weekend" doesn't mean "finish". It
means "extremity", "boundary", "limit", etc. I think of "weekend" exactly
the same way I think of "bookend". You wouldn't by some chance translate
"bookend" as {paq cha' navmey Qav}, would you? :-)
