I beleave that I have seen the error of my ways. A road or a path going
through a forest is roughly analogous to a tunnel going through a mountain,
but we still refer to them differently. Generaly you say "going through a
tunnel" rather than "going through a mountain." On the other hand it
sounds awkward to say "going through road." even if the road offers a path
through an obstacle like a forest. Therefore since "vegh" refers only to
the passage it's self not the obsticle it goes through, you can't use
"vegh" in reference to a forest. I get it now!!!
