Although it took several years of negotiating, the KLI is not only recognized by
Paramount, but we are formally licensed by them for our work in studying and 
promoting the language.  What this basically means is we can talk about Klingon 
and they won't shut us down for infringement of their copyrights, registered 
marks, or other trademarks.  We are, in the language of the lawyer-folk, a 
registered user of such marks.
