RE: Klingon Language Practice Program

Sure, I'll locate them on my Web page if you want. I could possibly even have them on the FTP server here at my work... We have a 155Mbit line so bandwidth will not be a problem....

SaghItlh:

Since I haven't heard from Lawrence or Mark, I assume the practice
program isn't on ftp.kli.org yet. In the interests of getting it out
there, I've *temporarily* placed it on an FTP site here, which doesn't
have a name just an address. Again, this is TEMPORARY. I can't just
leave this machine as an FTP site all the time. In fact, you're best
bet of getting to it will be between 5:00pm and 8:00am U.S. Eastern
time. It will very possibly be down at other times.

The site is: 155.42.51.137
You can anonymously FTP to this site and look in /pub/Klingon. Right
now you'll find two zip files, qeq32.zip and vbdll32.zip, which comprise
the 32bit version of the program. qeq32.zip is the actual program
itself with data file and readme, while vbdll32.zip is VB0032.DLL which
needs to be in the path for Visual Basic 4.0 programs to work. If you
already have VB 4.0, don't worry about getting the second one.

I've run into some problems getting the 16-bit version to work, which
I've only limited time to resolve. As soon as I can I'll place
qeq16.zip and vbdll16.zip on the site as well. I'll post another
message to the list at that time.

Also, could someone please grab these and put them somewhere else?
Since this isn't a permanent location, they'll probably go away at some
point in the not too distant future.

Finally, I want to say "thanks for the memories" to all list members.
Due to the amazing quantity of messages on this list, almost all of
which are now going unread by me, I'm going to unsubscribe. So if you
want to get hold of me, just email directly rather than posting.

But it's been fun, it's been real (well, sort of), and I can only say:
taHjaj tlhIngan wo' tlhIngan Hol je! Qapla'!
